The Chapel Down winemaking team creates our English sparkling wines utilizing the traditional method and classic sparkling wine grape varietals.


CHAPEL DOWN BRUT NV

The classic English sparkling wine

Elegant aromas of red apple, lemongrass and freshly baked bread together with hints of strawberry, citrus and quince on the palate. Crisp and fresh with lively acidity and fine persistent bubbles in bottle.

CHAPEL DOWN ROSÉ BRUT

The epitome of English Sparkling Rosé

Expect aromas of fresh strawberries, cherries and redcurrants with background notes of toasty shortbread. The palate is crisp and fresh, its fine mousse contributing to the light and effortless style.

Grapes: 100% Pinot Noir
Ageing: Maturation on fine lees in tank for six months before bottling and average 18 months further ageing on lees in bottle.

CHAPEL DOWN ENGLISH ROSE

English summer in a bottle

A delicate rose petal pink in colour with a fine prolonged mousse, lemon sherbet on the nose with hints of blackcurrant, rosehip and wild strawberry on the palate.

CHAPEL DOWN THREE GRACES 2014

The expression of a decadent vintage

Complex aromas of baked apple, fresh strawberry and shortcrust pastry are followed by a rich palate with a fine, smooth mousse.

Grapes: 60% Chardonnay, 31% Pinot Noir, 9% Pinot Meunier.

Ageing: Cool fermentation in stainless steel followed by full malolactic fermentation. A portion of this wine is from reserve stock which has been stored in barrels and tanks, which adds complexity and depth to the palate. Maturation on fine lees in tank for six months before bottling and between 4 1⁄2 - 5 1⁄2 years further ageing on lees in bottle.
